In the first episode of the new season of the MedMic podcast, Prof. Dr. Marion Koopmans, scientific director of the Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Center (PDPC), was interviewed by Andreas Voss and Vishal Hira. MedMic is the podcast of the Dutch Society for Medical Microbiology (NVMM).

In the episode, Professor Koopmans talks about pandemic preparedness. How can we respond more effectively during the next pandemic? Or can we even predict where new virus outbreaks might occur, in order to limit their spread and perhaps even prevent epidemics or pandemics?
