Ted Oliekan is PDPC’s new chief data officer

As of 1 November 2023, Ted Oliekan started as chief data officer for the Pandemic & Disaster Preparedness Centre (PDPC). Ted has 17 years of experience in the data field as a software developer, architect and, lately, more on a strategic level. He previously worked for three years as chief data officer for DCMR Environmental Protection Agency.

Ted likes to give guest lectures on data strategy and is an expert on multidisciplinary data teams. An example is the South-Holland datalab initiative, which is a collaboration between five organizations that work together to create innovative data solutions for energy transition goals. At the PDPC, he will focus on developing a Data and Information Hub to facilitate the cross-pollination of data and knowledge from across the center and with international partners.
