“I will soon be joining PDPC as an infectious disease control physician 3 days a week. While studying medicine in London, I became interested in global health because of my international background. With a few years as a hospital-based physician and a masters in epidemiology behind me, I was looking for a career where I could combine my passion for infectious diseases and public health. So in March 2020, I moved back to the Netherlands to train as an infectious disease physician (among others at GGD Amsterdam, GGD Flevoland, and in Curacao). I am also a PhD student on a study on the long-term effects of COVID-19, and hope to get my PhD this year. You will mainly meet me online, as my husband and I are moving to Bangkok this year. In my free time I do a lot of sports, and whenever I get the chance I like to go scuba diving or surfing.”
