Healthy Start Ambition Co-Lead, Assistant Professor of Service Design for Emerging Technologies

Fernando Secomandi is a Healthy Start Ambition Co-Lead for the project “The First 1000 Days and a Resilient Life Course”. He is an Assistant Professor of Service Design for Emerging Technologies in the Department of Design, Organization, and Strategy at TU Delft. His research focuses on service design, post phenomenology, and social justice in emerging technologies, particularly AI. He currently develops frameworks for designing technology-mediated human freedom, drawing on theories of intersubjective recognition. He has published in leading academic journals in design and the philosophy of technology and holds editorial roles at Designing and the Journal of Human-Technology Relations.
