Ege Sener

Hello, my name is Ege and I started working as part of the Pandemic and Disaster Preparedness Center (PDPC) since 1st August as a Phd student located in TU Delft/KWR. As part of PDPC, I will be working on virus sampling methods in order to develop a point of entry (e.g. Aircraft, cruise ships, animal checkpoints) surveillance system. Previously, I did my masters in Biochemical Engineering in TU Delft where I developed knowledge on modelling various physical phenomena governing transport of microorganisms and worked in industry on quantification of microorganisms from environmental matrices. I hope to contribute to this pioneering field where impact of future pandemics can be minimized using cost-effective, reliable and equitable methods.
