Karlijn Hermans

Karlijn is a postdoctoral researcher in the SYNC (Society Youth Neuroscience Connected) lab of Professor Eveline Crone. She uses living lab and citizen science methods to evaluate and valorise fundamental research on social competence and behavioural control. She also works as Scientific Project Support within the Healthy Start team. Karlijn has a PhD in Contextual Psychiatry and has worked for the Nationale DenkTank.

Within the HS Young Board, Karlijn aims to develop and create exciting new ways of collaboration between researchers and societal stakeholders to optimally benefit from combining scientific and practical knowledge. She aims to channel the positive energy on this topic among early career researchers and encourage them to work together on innovative projects.
