Resilient Delta

initiative

The Resilient Delta initiative is one of five programs of Convergence, an alliance between TU Delft, Erasmus University Rotterdam and Erasmus MC. At the Resilient Delta initiative, we collaborate across disciplines to design real-world solutions to the global challenges we face – from climate change to growing social inequality. With the Dutch delta as our living lab, our pioneering research aims to help the Netherlands and delta regions across the world navigate towards a resilient future.

Transdisciplinairity

Transdisciplinarity is at the heart of what we do. In Transdisciplinarity, a scientific term for collaboration between knowledge domains, we bring together knowledge from various scientific fields, disciplines and society to address complex issues. With our growing community of transdisciplinarians, we are building a knowledge ecosystem where academics and students from the three converging universities collaborate on research projects with governments, businesses, public organizations, civil society and other partners. At the core of our transdisciplinary approach are our GLUON researchers, who specialize in integrating knowledge and accelerating collaborative learning within research consortia.
