Participate in the Science Parade: Share your research with the general public
‘Healthy planet, healthy people: in search of balance’ is the theme of the public lecture Praise of Medicine on 3 October 2025. Think of research, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and innovation in the field of: sunburn, heat stress, pollen; environmental pollution in relation to allergies and rare diseases; new infectious diseases as a result of changes in climate and biodiversity; lifestyle; healthy nutrition; exercise; healing environment and sustainability of care.
Are you actively involved in topics in these areas as a researcher or physician and do you want to share your topic with Rotterdammers? Then register to present in the Science Parade, a public program that Erasmus MC organizes around the theme ‘Healthy planet, healthy people: in search of balance’, in the weekend of 4 and 5 October in parks in the city.
During the Science Parade, Rotterdammers will learn in an accessible way about research and innovation of Erasmus MC and its strategic partners TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam. The program consists of interactive presentations in the form of walks, games and discussions by researchers or innovative employees with groups of max. 25 visitors.
Workshop and coaching
We would like to discuss your topic with you and together we will come up with an appealing presentation format. In preparation, we offer you a Presentation & Storytelling workshop by professional communication coach Eldridge Labinjo. During the workshop you will learn how to translate your topic into a catchy message and how to present it convincingly. The workshop lasts two times 2 hours with subsequent personal coaching and takes place in September.
If you want to present in the Science Parade, please register by 30 June at the latest via email: wetenschapparade@erasmusmc.nl. The call is open to researchers and physicians from Erasmus MC, but also to researchers from TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam.
State your name, position, department and describe your topic in max. 300 words. Submissions and presentations may be in Dutch and English. We will then contact you on July 1.
