August 23 and 24 2022, the Convergence away session took place with the entire boards of the three institutions. This was the first time since the start of the corona crisis that the entire group was together in this formation. They looked back on the successful exploration phase of the past years and discussed the next steps for Convergence moving into a more foundational phase.

The originally defined ambition of Convergence was underlined and this will be the basis for further development. The pace that was initially set will be maintained. In the coming months, work will be done on drafting a change agenda, to be launched in early 2023. This will be done in collaboration with key stakeholders.

As an important component for the next phase, the option of one or more School(s) of Convergence is being explored. Bringing research, education and valorization of the current convergence themes and possibly new initiatives in such a School guarantees better support and greater visibility and recognition.
