Journey mapping workshop
Goals of the employee journey mapping workshop:
After having gathered insights via the interviews, the TD postdoc team prepared multiple interactive workshops with nurses to even better understand their daily tasks, experiences and emotions during a ‘typical*’ shift. Together with the nurses, the team also tried to identify challenges, frustrations, and inefficiencies in the current workflow. Additionally, the team also goes into discussion with the nurses about possible opportunities for technological innovations that could improve their daily work and experiences. Interactions with nurses like these also serve the ultimate purpose of empowering nurses to share their perspectivesand, by doing so, contribute to improvements in their working environment.
*The postdoc team became very much aware that every shift is unique and that unexpected things will almost always happen, however, the employee journey mapping was focused on those tasks that do need to be completed in nearly every single (day) shift.
