Job offer: Healthy Start Fellow/Project coordinator Paediatric Chest Centre

Have you always wanted to combine transdisciplinary research with a project that directly benefits children in the hospital? Then this job vacancy is for you!

Job description
As a project coordinator and Healthy Start Fellow, you are responsible for managing and coordinating two projects that aim to support children with a chronic disease to become more active.

First, the So Fit & Fun Centre in the Paediatric Chest Centre is a new initiative within Erasmus MC Sophia Children’s Hospital. This centre aims to combine all in-hospital expertise on physical activity, fitness and lifestyle of children with chronic diseases. You will contribute to the start-up and implementation of the Centre together with an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team. You are in charge of the day-to-day management of this Centre, and you lead the project group, research nurse and the data manager. An important part of your work is setting up and organizing daily activities, supervising the purchase of (research) equipment, coordinating the maintenance of equipment, setting up an infrastructure for home monitoring, setting up a database and the internal and external communication of the So Fit & Fun Centre.

You combine this function with a parttime postdoc project as Healthy Start Fellow within the Convergence program Healthy Start. In this collaboration between Erasmus University, Delft Technical University and Erasmus MC, we investigate how smart technology (e.g., wearables, apps) may offer new opportunities to monitor and stimulate daily physical activity of children with chronic diseases in a home-based context. You will have the opportunity to develop and conduct your own research project within the scope of this program.
