Our approach

Transdisciplinary research

We work together with medical, social and technological sciences, as well as societal partners such as policy makers, youth workers, nurses, parents and youth. This includes the integration of scientific disciplines as well as the exchange of methodologies and approaches, including (bio)medical, social, management, economical, design, technical and behavioural sciences.

Impact Plan

We work with an ‘Impact Plan’ approach to purposefully increase our societal impact. We use strategic tools such as the ‘Theory of Change’ and ‘Impact Pathways’ to facilitate reflection in the design and implementation of our research. We collaborate, co-design and co-create with our societal partners.

Feedback loop

We identify disparities and opportunities together with our societal partners. The knowledge we generate is both scientifically robust and societally relevant. We work together to put preventive strategies into practice. A reflective and collaborative approach ensures we incorporate lessons learned and feedback right back into our research.
