Summary

Parental health during the first 1000 days is critical for a child’s long-term development and health. However, poor parental psychosocial health and adverse lifestyle factors often go unaddressed in practice due to maternal and child healthcare professionals’ knowledge needs. This project aims to develop an accredited e-learning course to equip these professionals with skills to identify and address these risks. Focusing on early life health, communication, (culturally) sensitive care, and father involvement, the course will improve maternal and child healthcare professionals’ ability to support healthier outcomes for families throughout the life course.
