HS Sprint project: ‘ON RECORD’
Recorded delivery to reduce polarization and reconnect
Summary
How can we tackle polarization? In a world where people seem to increasingly disagree, youth want to move away from “debating to win” and toward “listening to connect.” This is only possible through understanding and confronting emotions and tensions that underpin polarization. This project co-implements a recorded delivery workshop (i.e., a form of verbatim theatre in which performers deliver the exact testimonials of real people) to enable youth to listen to other persons’ views, and, ultimately, reduce societal polarization.
