HS Sprint project: ‘Mbo-students as co-researchers in MRI research’
Summary
The adolescent brain is wired for social connections and increasing societal engagement. With access to internet and social media, youth can share information and raise their voice on themes that matter to them. Mbo-students form the largest education group in the Netherlands yet have historically been underrepresented in research and policy. In this transdisciplinary study we aim to explore the neural mechanisms of self-disclosure of societal topics among youth by involving mbo-students as co-researchers throughout the project.
