HS Sprint project: ‘Council of Resilience’
Summary
The Council of Resilience empowers parents living in poverty in IJsselmonde to become cocreators of knowledge, reducing stigma and improving early-life environments. Building on a successful 2025 pilot—including community sessions, artistic outputs, and a podcast—the project aims to anchor a sustainable community expertise centre. It integrates parental expertise into research, policy, and care, trains professionals in participatory methods, and strengthens local partnerships. This approach fosters parental resilience and generates intergenerational positive impact on children’s health during the critical first 1000 days.
