HS Sprint project: ‘Poverty’
Summary
This project aims to reduce health inequalities by empowering parents living in poverty as experts. Through community sessions, parents are supported in sharing experiences, reducing stigma, stress, and loneliness. Artistic expression of their insights will further elevate their voices and disseminate their expertise among researchers, medical professionals, and policymakers. Inspired by Schiedam’s “Uit Armoede” program, this initiative combines stigma reduction with actionable insights for reducing poverty-driven health disparities that arise preconceptionally up to the first 1000 days of life.
