HS Sprint project: ‘NeoHomeMotion’
Secure Home-Based Assessment of Infant General Movements, for Early Detection of Neurodevelopmental Disorders
Summary
NeoHomeMotion aims to develop an innovative (digital) approach to evaluate the general movements in 3-month-old at-risk infants. It allows neonatologists and pediatric physiotherapists to conduct joint, transdisciplinary assessments remotely by analyzing videos recorded by parents in their home environment. This approach seeks to enhance early detection of neurodevelopmental disorders such as cerebral palsy, while reducing hospital visits and healthcare costs. If successful, future projects will explore integrating AI for automated GM assessment.
