Healthy Joints annual meeting brings disciplines together

Researchers connect, share progress and explore new ways of collaboration within Convergence Health & Technology

Annual meeting Flagship Healthy Joints

On Wednesday March 26, researchers of the Healthy Joints Flagship — part of Convergence Health & Technology — gathered for an inspiring afternoon focused on exchange, connection and creativity.

Researchers from all work packages shared updates on their research progress. The diversity of expertise across Erasmus MC, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam once again highlighted the value of bringing together perspectives that are not always naturally connected, but strongly reinforce each other.

An important element of the Flagship is the active involvement of PhD and postdoctoral researchers. During the annual meeting, they strengthened their peer network within and across the three institutions.

A dedicated part of the programme focused on science communication through a graphical abstract workshop. Following an introduction by Fleur Boel (Department of Orthopedics, Erasmus MC), based on a workshop by The Online Scientist, participants worked together within their work packages to visually translate their research topics.

The session resulted in a wide range of creative concepts. While time did not allow for final versions to be completed during the meeting, participants will further develop their graphical abstracts in the coming weeks. The final outcomes will be shared on the Flagship webpage.

The afternoon clearly demonstrated how collaboration within Convergence goes beyond sharing results — it enables new connections, perspectives and ways of working that contribute to advancing healthcare innovation.
