During this informal English-language pub quiz, you will get to know the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Erasmus MC in a relaxed and interactive way. TTO supports researchers, healthcare professionals and teams in taking ideas further: from an early research finding or practical solution to questions around intellectual property, collaboration, funding, licensing, entrepreneurship or implementation.

That may sound like a big step, but it often starts with a simple question: what could be the next step for this idea?

Within Convergence Health & Technology, many ideas emerge at the intersection of science, clinical practice, design, data and technology. Some are still early research findings, while others are already developing into tools, methods, prototypes or collaborations with potential beyond the lab or clinic. At different moments in that journey, questions around next steps, partners, funding, protection or real-world application may become relevant.

TTO can help you think through questions such as:

• When should I contact TTO?
• What should I keep confidential before publishing or presenting?
• Could intellectual property or another form of protection be relevant?
• What kind of partners, funding or expertise could help move this idea forward?
• How can an innovation create value for patients, healthcare professionals, research or society?

The TTO x Jong Erasmus MC Pub Quiz offers an accessible way to learn more about these questions. The event is organized by TTO in collaboration with Jong Erasmus MC, but everyone with an interest in innovation, research and impact is welcome. Colleagues, researchers, PhD candidates, students and professionals from Erasmus MC, TU Delft and Erasmus University Rotterdam are warmly invited to join.

Although many examples will be connected to Erasmus MC, the questions behind them are relevant across institutions: how do promising ideas develop, what support is available, and what does it take to move from knowledge to real-world application?
