Engaged healthcare professionals in focus during breakfast with Dutch Minister of Health
The morning after Budget Day (Prinsjesdag), Anne de Pagter joined a breakfast meeting on behalf of EMPOWER with Dutch Minister of Health, Welfare and Sport Sophie Hermans. One key message from the discussion was clear: to build a future-proof healthcare system, we need to nurture the engagement of healthcare professionals.
This message closely reflects the core of EMPOWERING Change, a Sustainable Health Program within Convergence Health & Technology. Researchers from Erasmus MC, Rotterdam School of Management and Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management investigate what healthcare professionals need to do their work with energy, purpose and enjoyment.
Together with partners, they develop new knowledge, interventions and networks that contribute to the sustainable employability of healthcare professionals. Retaining people in healthcare requires not only smarter ways of organising care, but also attention to the people who make healthcare possible every day.
