Antoinette Oudshoorn appointed as Director Convergence
As of 1 June 2024, Antoinette Oudshoorn has been appointed as Director of Convergence. In this strategic alliance, TU Delft, Erasmus MC and Erasmus University Rotterdam have joined forces to address complex societal challenges. Following a phase of experimentation and organic growth, we are ready to further shape and cement our collaboration. The Convergence Executive Board (CEB) is pleased that Antoinette will lead this process.
Antoinette Oudshoorn (1981) brings a wealth of experience in both academia and management, and a dedication to building bridges, which will be invaluable in strengthening our network organisation. She previously served as lawyer at NautaDutilh, Deputy Director at the Internationaal Juridisch Instituut, Deputy Judge at the District Court of Rotterdam and, most recently, as Public Prosecutor with the Dutch Public Prosecution Service. Antoinette studied law at the University of Amsterdam and earned her PhD in cross-border attachment of bank accounts from Erasmus University Rotterdam. She also trained as a mediator.
As Director of Convergence, Antoinette will further build on the operational foundation and the synergy among our institutions and programmes to achieve our shared ambition. To this end, Antoinette will closely collaborate with our stakeholders, such as the programme boards, faculties and professional services, boards and management, and university councils. In addition, she will also explore opportunities for further collaboration both within and beyond our institutions.
Antoinette is very enthusiastic about her new role: “I look forward to getting to know our institutions, programmes, and especially all colleagues, and to bolster the mutual trust that is essential to forging new pathways on the intersection of institutions and disciplines. We really need each other to make a difference. In my role as facilitator, I am keen to contribute to this challenge.”
