Many support programs in health and technology focus solely on financial aid. Convergence Health & Technology takes a different approach. Our Accelerator Initiative provides not just funding but a complete ecosystem where innovators can thrive. Through strategic guidance, market analysis, and prototype development, we help researchers and entrepreneurs bring their innovations to life.

Holistic support for innovation

Financial resources are crucial, but they are only one part of successful innovation. True breakthroughs require a comprehensive approach, supporting entrepreneurs, researchers, and developers on multiple levels. This philosophy is at the core of our program.

The 38 submissions for the 2024 cycle of the Accelerator Initiative demonstrate the vibrancy of the research field. To address the diverse support needs, we have adopted a structured approach:

Targeted support for selected projects

From the submissions, five projects have been selected for both financial and non-financial support. Specifically:

• TRL 7 and 8 projects receive financial resources to further develop their product and implement it in clinical practice, bringing them closer to market introduction.
• Additionally, two projects, in collaboration with RSM, have been selected for market analysis, value proposition, and business case development.

Accelerating innovation to market readiness

For 27 projects, the following support needs were prioritized in consultation with the applicants:

Given the high demand for market analysis and business case development, we are collaborating with RSM to provide selected projects with these insights before summer. To facilitate prototype development, we are actively working with TU Delft, enabling projects to scale further within the TRL phases and achieve societal impact.

Not all projects align with the mission

Unfortunately, six projects do not sufficiently align with the mission and goals of Convergence Health & Technology. As a result, they do not qualify for support.
